Nicola ("Nicky") Taylor, from Australia (by way of Southern Africa), is
our newest subscriber.

Nicky introduces herself as follows:

~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
I am a student in the school of economics at Murdoch University in Western
Australia. My research interests are the political economy of South
Africa, and the systematic development of Marx's theories of value and
money. My own readings of 'Capital' are guided by value-form perspectives;
in particular, those associated with Japanese political economy. I see the
development of Marxist theories of money and finance as crucial to an
adequate explanation of changes in the operation of world markets (and
changes in the labour process) being brought about through information
technologies.
I am also interested in the potential of the internet for promoting
collaborative research, teaching and political activity. To encourage this
alternative use of information technology, I have established a website for
political economy students:
http://carmen.murdoch.edu.au/clubs/political-economy/
Incidentally, I am willing to help anyone else who needs technical
assistance in setting up websites or online forums.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Nicky: welcome aboard!

In solidarity, Jerry
