I am apalled by the US government's use of the term "Crusade" to describe their forthcoming actions in the Middle East. Are they (a) unaware of the implications of this word, especially for Muslims, or (b) is the C-word being used deliberately? If (a), this reinforces the opinion that US ruling classes have been ill-served by their political leaders (perhaps for many years) - what an ignorant bunch they are! Only raw power, ie, the material resources at their disposal, allows them to avoid the consequences of their own mediocrity. If (b), what are the *real* objectives of the war to come, for the US ruling groups? alfredo.
