Fred, what you call hypothetical is no hypothetical at all, if you 
understand as hypothetical something which is unreal. what's 
'fictional'  is the system of relative exchange values. it's a 
fictional system of relative exchange values which is NECESSARY to 
understand the ACTUAL formation of economic magnitudes (including: 
value, surplus value, money etc.)

your charge MAY be valid against Rubin's reading of the 
transformation (he's much more hypothetical than me: go and verify). 
not mine, as published in Campbell & Reuten. all my magnitudes in my 
reading in volume I are ACTUAL.
