Campus and community events offer venues, for artists and arts entrepreneurs to present, perform, and interact with the university and with regional communities. As of spring 2008, over 50 arts entrepreneurs have been featured, including several nationally and internationally recognized professionals.
COOK IT UP! Arts Entrepreneurshp Summit March 26, and April 2, 2008
In this series organized by Lynn Book, innovative arts entrepreneurs will speak about their passion, their ventures and their art careers in a convivial environment of exchange that is open to the public. The objective of this forum is to showcase the dynamic, contemporary face of arts entrepreneurship today and to assert the essential role creativity and innovation play in today’s world - from local to global.

2007 National Arts Entrepreneurship Week
Events at Wake Forest will begin on Monday, February 26th when beatbox artist and art entrepreneur Adam Matta stages a “bike drawing” on the Magnolia Quad between 12 and 2 pm. And at 6pm in Shorty’s he will perform original beat box compositions.

2006 SEA Conference
Over 30 arts professionals and entrepreneurs presenting to over 130 regional participants. Keynote speakers included: Gerald Freeman, Director of the Drama Program at the North Carolina School for the Arts, Rosemary Harris, esteemed actress of both film and stage, Elliot McGucken, trend setter in ‘artistic entrepreneurship’ and entrepreneurial applications with new internet technologies.
