What Is Big Concert?

Big Concert has been held annually for 14 years straight by Chi Rho, the Men's Christian A Capella Ensemble of Wake Forest. In the past, this concert has involved the combination of both new and old songs sung by Chi Rho, as well as skits, talks, and anything random we can think of... to both entertain and inspire you wherever you are in your walk through life. Everyone is invited, especially those who have seen us throughout the year at various church and community concerts. Last year, about 1250 friends stopped by!

What Have You Done Before The Concert?

Apart from random stunts such as repelling from the ceiling of Brendle Recital hall, we have created videos, including one documentary on a member's Swedish fish addiction, and another as a prelude to a talk about "surviving" (our Survivor video in 2001). In 2002, we released our first-ever Music Video for the song "Dive" from our 2001 recording 'Free.' We also incorporate Chi Rho alumni into the concert, singing on their own or with the current group. We always a few songs we premeired exclusively for the 1st time at Big Concert. In addition, inspiring talks and skits were used to better illustrate the message of our songs during the concerts. Slide shows, special effects, etc. have all been used in past concerts. Each concert is unique in its own way.

Tickets?

Admission is free and open to all. We have never charged admission at concerts. Also, don't worry about tickets. But I'm sure if park in the wrong spot, you will get one... Wake Forest parking enforcement.... Awesome.

Whats New This Year?

It's always hard to follow the previous year's performance. So, we've put our heads together and come up with a few things that we think might make this year's concert off the chain. But, we can't just tell you... Let's just say, it might involve some choreography, and possibly a few incredulous stunts by our own Eric Polk (he doesn't know about these yet, so don't ask him). One of the other things unique about this year is that it is our 15th year of Big Concerts. This means that the majority of our alumni will be there

Plans With Alumni 2007

This year we expect many alumni to be in town for the 15th anniversary of Chi Rho. As of yet we have no confirmed attendees.... but this will change :)
