[OPE-L] Critique in Sraffa and Marx

It's also interesting to note that Sraffa claimed that
the purpose of _PCMC_ was critique. Yet, there is hardly a
mention of any of the marginalist authors that were being
subjected to critique! I believe that is because Sraffa
thought that _PCMC_ was a critique to the extent that it
represented a *superior* theory of the subject matter of
capitalism. It's like a variation on the old slogan: the
best defense is a good offense. If Sraffa could develop a
theory which in every respect was superior to marginalism then
that represented a critique _of_ marginalism.

Wasn't Sraffa _in this respect_ following the footsteps of
Marx?

In solidarity, Jerry
